New Glen Oaks Nursing Home

New Glen Oaks Nursing Home has giving me the privilege to be with them for the last 18 months. I can say so many great things about this facility. For starters, it is a friendly and intimate homelike environment with wonderful caregivers and rehab therapists. I want to especially thank all my CNAs on the second floor they are truly amazing in what they do day in/ day out. The recreation crew is hands on and I love all the activities that they have to offer during the day. I have become like family here and my journey will now take me home but , the memories will last forever. I highly recommend anyone to come here for short or long term care you will not be disappointed. I really love the great new remodeled look in the lobby . I hope to be a long term resident here in the future I will be

In early December, my dad suffered a nasty fall. Due to the severity of his condition, he was unable to walk or care for himself. After surgery from LIJ, he was transferred to New Glen Oaks Nursing Home. The center allowed us to stay with him and provide 24-hour care. During his two-month stay, he received helpful instruction from the PT & OT team on how to walk and use his right arm. They were able to get him from being unable to walk at all to being able to walk independently and from being unable to lift his right arm to now being able to touch his nose with it. During his stay here, he received excellent care. Nurses prepared his medications, inquired about his condition, and showed concern. The care team delivered his meals three times a day. New Glen Oaks Nursing Home deserves more than 5 stars. A phenomenal place to send your loved ones to. Staff are second to none! From rehabilitation to social work to administration, you won’t regret your stay here. Working in the healthcare industry for many years, Mr. Emil Fuzaylov has been a pleasure. He is very hands on with his staff, the residents, their families, you name it. His communication skills and warm gestures goes a very long way. I hope the ownership appreciates such a phenomenal individual, especially in a cold world we live in today. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for years of amazing care for all the residents sent here. They all return back to their residence; in great spirits, great health and even better attitude. I’ve had the privilege of being able to visit my wife at New Glen Oaks Nursing Home which is close by to my house for many years now. I am beyond thrilled and overjoyed with the level of service, respect and admiration from all the CNAs , nurses and recreation aides, not only to myself but, more importantly to my wife. New Glen Oaks is a small but family oriented facility. If you want the best care for short and long term placement please don’t hesitate by bringing your loved ones to this small gem of a facility. The staff at this facility were wonderful. My mom was here for rehab. Everyone Ffrm the Nurses to the aides made sure my mom was well cared for. The PT did a great job getting her back on her feet so she could go home quick. The Social Worker Jason was a b ig help as well. Even the administration helped with my insurance issue. I would definitely recommend this facility.
