For many years I lived with increasing pain, fatigue and other symptoms that affected my quality of life. My concerns were dismissed by providers until things became almost unbearable for me. I was finally referred to New England Rheumatology and Osteoporosis. Dr. Daugherty called me after reviewing my referral. We spoke on the phone for nearly 30 minutes and he told me that he could help me! He validated everything that I had been struggling with for years and understood. I was able to begin feeling hopeful again. Six months after my first appointment, I now have a diagnosis and a treatment plan that is still evolving to help me optimize my health to the fullest. Dr. Daugherty has been very patient with me as I have learned to accept and come to terms with everything. Knowing that I will
I was originally referred to Dr. Todd Daugherty by my cardiologist. Prior to this I had seen multiple rheumatologists who all diagnosed my symptoms as "unspecified" and applied direct injection shots to no avail. I recall many moments where I thought to myself, “Will this pain ever get better?” Often I would show up to work with a walking boot ,due to severe ankle swelling and pain. People often asked what my injury was. My response was, “I don’t know...I just woke up and had swelling and pain”. At my first appointment, Dr. Daugherty reviewed with me the history of my problems. There were two different characteristics of my symptoms, leading to two possible diagnoses. Dr. Daugherty asked, “What if it’s both?” This was the only time a provider had actually intently listened to my health hi
I was determined to keep this short but I just cannot say enough great things about Dr. Todd Daugherty and Taylor Kirpatrick, PA. They are an absolute Godsend! For 20 years I suffered from extreme fatigue, chronic sores, and painful spine / joint deterioration. I was told it was caused solely by osteoarthritis. I ended up going through several plastic surgeries on my scalp without relief and continued on a downhill spiral. Still, the many doctors I had seen were unable to determine the core problem causing my condition. I shared my suspicion of an autoimmune disease with Rheumatology and Dermatology but they only pressed me to take antipsychotic medications while providing no clinical ability to diagnose the cause of my symptoms and provide me relief. And then an incredible thing h
I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Todd Daugherty, Taylor Kirkpatrick,P.A., and the entire team at New England Rheumatology and Osteoporosis. They provide the highest quality of care I’ve ever experienced. Dr Daugherty and Taylor really listen—-they take the time to understand everything you’re going through and work with you to create a plan that fits your life. They don’t just treat symptoms—-they help you reach your best health. At 71 years old, I had settled for just “feeling ok” , but with their care and guidance, I truly believe I can achieve optimum health and wellbeing. Thanks to them I am looking forward to enjoying my grandchildren and spending time working around my farm again. The office staff is also wonderful— kind professional and always ready to help. Dr.Todd Dougherty is one in a million. At 67 years old, I felt like falling at his knees with gratitude when I heard him ask the questions and guide me though the symptoms that someone finally recognized and acknowledged (if I had I would not have been able to get back up!). I had been in extreme pain as long as I can remember, starting with pain in my lower back as if I had a kidney problem, hips, and each year some new joint or limb would burn as if I had been burned with hot fat from a frying pan. I had visited so many doctors whose diagnosis leaned towards "There's nothing wrong with you" to "You may have Anklyosing Spondylitis" to "You're fat and need to exercise". (I was so relieved when Dr. Dougherty explained that because I could not move I was unable to exercise). In my teens I wa
