My Wife Janice Hamblett underwent Surgery 6-23-2025 Dr. Paul Detwiler is a magician. He looked at her MRI told us exactly what to expect and it unfolded exactly as he said. My wife was in debilitating pain at L5 S1. We did the PT, We did the epidural. Nothing worked. He and his team performed a Microdisectomy at L5 . Once in surgery - I understand the issue was just as bad as he explained. Tonight she is resting peacefully and moving with very little pain. I cannot say enough good about Dr Detwiler and the staff at both his office Nuerology associates of Tyler and UT medical center Tyler. Professionals all the way from fist appointment to discharge Post Operation. Huge shout out to DrJeffery Davis at the Pain Management Center and his whole Staff. Class act all the way . The Best Neurologist I have ever seen. I am a retired R.N. and have known a lot of Neurologists. Dr. Tyre is knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. My life would be unbearable if not for his expertise and practice. Office staff is very professional and pleasant. I never have a problem getting in on short notice or getting a phone call returned. Over the years I have seen several neurologists and Dr Tyre is the very Best!

We are having to give this Neurologist one star because the review board requires at least one to be given, but in reality Dr. Tyer doesn't deserve that. My review is coming from a group of his former patients who happen to be at the same elite charity event at the same time in the East Texas Area. My story, Dr. Tyer has failed to treat my father's conditions. After many attempts for help to lets change something, or try a different route in my father's care he still refused to do nothing but repeated testing that answered the same questions as it did before. He never takes actions and refuses to believe that anything but a stupid test result is truth. Thank God, that I pulled my father from his care and seek care under another neurologist.
