I was struck by lightning in 2003 and experienced hearing losses which continue as I age. To help combat and utilize my hearing to my best capabilities I chose the UT Health ENT Clinic in Tyler. The process was quick, efficient, and always professional including the unpleasant news of continued hearing loss as I entered the audio sound cubicle. It was well lit and airy so I did not feel enclosed or anxious for my testing. I will say make sure your ears are clean of excessive wax to not skew the tests. In addition to frequency and intensity checks, I also received the confusing background noise check against a conversation which I really discovered was my greatest loss and confusion.
