Nekos-Dedrick's Pharmacy

I love the idea of a local, compounding pharmacy, and have been a customer for 20 years. I really, really want to believe in this business but wow they really make it very hard to do! Many times I have wasted a trip to pick up a prescription that should be ready, and they don’t even have the drug in house and haven’t even ordered it. No notification. Right now I’ve been waiting for two scripts for over a week, after several phone calls and promises… I still only have one. I don’t think I can take it anymore. It’s very, very sad.

Nekos has lost the plot. The provide scattered customer service with uniformly rude phone and counter service. The people who work there seem really unhappy...it has been like this for years. When I was in the store in Oct 2025, many of the retail shelves were bare.

Consistently disappointed by Nekos. I need a compounded prescription and every time I have to chase them for a refill. They aren’t proactive at all. I was also charged for a prescription that I haven’t yet received which seems borderline fraudulent. Surely they should only charge you on receipt of your medication, not before? I’m binning them and going to Bayview Mail Order Rx. EDIT: I had to go back to them for a specific medication that I couldn't get from Bayview as they are out of state, and the Nekos pharmacist was unbelievably rude to me. Talked over me and basically told me to shut up. I've binned them for good now, and you should too. Awful people.

The absolute best in the business. Have always been treated as family, and able to compound and fill scripts that the big guys can’t. Welcoming smiles, caring attitudes combined with decades of knowledge and experience makes you feel like you matter as a customer. Great to be able to experience an old fashioned way of doing business still today.

The staff at Nekos were extra kind to me, when I was homeless and in and out of rehabs they were always patient and would ask how I'm doing, made me feel like they really cared. I moved out of Kingston but still go here when I need meds. Now I'm healthy homed and sober for years but I'll never forget that they made me feel like a person. Thank you.
