My family has been seeing Dr. Herod for years, and he’s become someone we trust completely with our care. He’s taken great care of me, my wife, and our kids, always treating us with patience, honesty, and genuine kindness. His calm, straightforward approach makes every visit feel easy, and you can tell he truly cares about the people he treats. Recently, I had an urgent issue, and he didn’t hesitate to get me in the same day — something that meant a lot to us. The entire team is warm, professional, and consistently goes out of their way to make patients feel comfortable. We’re genuinely grateful to have a dentist who looks out for our family the way he does.

I was especially impressed with my dentist, Dr. Powell, who is not only super sharp, knowledgeable, and friendly, but also highly detailed and thorough in explaining my treatment plan! My family has been trusting Dr. Herod for our oral healthcare for around 5 years now- gentle and thorough cleanings and seamless procedure care, only after attentive and empathetic conversations at our checkups. The whole staff is kind, easy to communicate with and efficient. It feels unreal to experience the level of honesty and care we share in our visits…and in this modern American healthcare system! The first couple times we visited, my younger son was quite anxious. Dr. Herod and his sweet, patient angel assistant offered to let him hold the tools and help peek into my older son’s mouth. The next time, my son was able to have his teeth just looked at, and the third time he was well cleaned and without any anxiety. Now he loves visiting without hesitation- even for a procedure! I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience. I am very particular about the dentist my family sees, so I did extensive research before choosing Dr. Herod. We actually drive 80 miles one way to his office. My children have all been seen there, and in the past, Dr. Herod has seemed like a caring and compassionate dentist. When my daughter had significant tooth pain last year, he got her in right away, which meant a great deal to us. That is why I was so surprised and disappointed when I recently called for an appointment for myself due to acute dental pain. I clearly explained that I was in pain when I called, yet I was told they were too busy and the soonest available appointment was nearly three months out. I've seen many dentists in my life, but Dr. Herod is by far the best. I appreciate his approach to car and the time he takes to explain treatment options. The entire practice typically functions like a well oiled machine. The waiting room time is less than a few minutes with most cleaning appointments completed within 30 minutes.
