Neergaard Pharmacy

Switched to Neergard after getting fed up with cvs and it was the best decision. Shopping in person is pleasant — you don’t have to ask for items to be unlocked all the time! And I have found the prices to actually be better than CVS and Walgreens. The pharmacy is responsive and personable - they will actually pick up the phone quickly and remember you, no long hold times and there is almost never a line. I’ve also had good experience getting my vaccines there.

They are so nice here! It feels family run and the pharmacy is always wonderful. Please give them as much Park Slope business as possible. We want to enjoy them in our neighborhood forever!

Do not bother. I had called their number and someone had transfered me. The woman I was transferred to had sounded so bitter and impatient towards me as she told me the fax number. She actually rose her voice a little. As though she was bothered that she had to speak to me. I then thanked her, and she said "You're welcome" and she quickly hung up. There was nothing I said that could have had her act this way. I was very nice. Her tone of voice and response was just unacceptable. This was Saturday, January 17, 2026, past 10AM.

Have used this pharmacy for almost a decade. It’s not perfect, but it’s waaaaaayy better than CVS or Walgreens. I love love love that you can call and actually talk to a person within minutes. CVS forces you to use voicemail these days, making an accessible independent neighborhood pharmacy like Neergaard even more valuable.

I’ve been coming here for almost 20 years because I prefer supporting a family-owned, local business rather than a chain. However, almost every month I end up dealing with the same frustrating issue. I call ahead to request my refills and always ask whether the medication is in stock. I’m told yes over the phone, but when I arrive, I’m informed that it’s actually not available and needs to be ordered. This means I have to make another trip the next day, or sometimes two days later if it’s the weekend.
