Nebraska Medicine Emergency Services at Bellevue Medical Center

This was my very first time ever having to go to the ER and I was extremely anxious about it. Every single person working there was so kind and attentive even though they were having a busy night, and they all reassured me I made the right call coming in. They ran a lot of tests to rule out various issues and although my diagnosis wasn't what I had expected, the information they provided and the aftercare they planned for me has given me so much peace of mind and left me feeling a million times better. Thank you so much!

This might be a little lengthy but I have the time as I’m currently sitting in the ER (in a room) kindly being treated ;-) . ALL of the staff from security (where I checked in) to the nurses — Kayla and Allison, the CT techs, Dr. Kennedy and Dr. Ross have been nothing short of AMAZING! They are kind, compassionate, listed to my thoughts and feelings and made sure I was comfy and have treated me absolutely great. I have no clue where all of these negative reviews are coming from, I truly don’t understand. This hospital has always been great to me and I am known to be a grouchy, whiny person at times LOL. 1. Definitely don't recommend going to this ER unless you absolutely have to. The first time I went in I had a laceration on my thumb and blood had been spurting everywhere but I got it to stop by applying so much pressure my thumb had begun to change color. They had me in the waiting room for about an hour in extreme pain before I was triaged. They wrapped it up real quick and had me wait in the waiting room for another hour. When they finally got me back, the doctor had me try to move my thumb, which I could not physically do and caused me significant pain, which she was dismissive about and just seemed to want to get me out of there. An example of substandard care in the ER. Doctors seemed caring and professional. Nurses were loud gawffawing and gobbling in the nurses station outside my door. Practically 0 contact in over 5 hours. Acted like they didn't want to be inconvenienced. A certain degree of decorum and caring should exist in an emergency department. Not there...see I'm not the only one with a negative review. Disgraceful. Do they hire misfit nurses who were fired elsewhere? Would like to know. Certainly not blue ribbon nurses.

Would never go back to this hospital. The lady came into my room after I just got put back and told me they were going to call CPS if I didn’t have anyone to watch my kids. My daughter has Autism for one. I called the hospital when I left and spoke to the lead and they told me they were talking about admitting me but never communicated that with me. And proceeded to be rude to me and very much racist. Will never be back here. And will be reporting this hospital. This is not the first time they did something like this to me.
