My Smile Center

My name is Don Hayes.. I went to My Smile Center on two visits 22 months ago. Once for a cleaning and another for a crown.. The dentist was going to put a crown on a tooth that I later had found out it was infected and needed a root canal. Here is the worst part, this dentist did not submit the bill to my insurance and is trying to make me pay $1700 out of my pocket..There are other reputable dentists in the area that care about their patients and would probably do right by them when it comes to billing. I would choose wisely before you go to My Smile Center

I normally don’t leave reviews, but I feel like this experience needs to be shared. I have a lot of dental anxiety because of my past experiences, which I have expressed to this office before. From the very beginning, this office was the first place that offered me nitrous oxide to help me feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed — even for cleanings. It truly made a difference for me, and my dental doctor at that time was amazing. Unfortunately, she is no longer there, and things have changed. During my recent visit, I asked for nitrous oxide for my dental cleaning. The nurse’s response was very dismissive, telling me things like, “people don’t usually use nitrous oxide for cleanings,” in a way that came off as rude and judgmental. Staff is Nice and friendly but Avoid Dr. Mills – save your time and money! I called to confirm if they had an endodontist, and they said yes. I even sent my previous X-ray before the appointment. When I arrived, she took more X-rays – identical to the ones I had already provided – which were completely unnecessary and didn’t help at all. Even after looking at both sets, she misidentified the tooth that actually needed a root canal. They were not honest about having an endodontist in the office. They don’t. They just wanted to squeeze money out of my dental insurance, which maxed out my annual coverage limit. Later, when I went to a real specialist, I had to pay a small fortune out of pocket because they had already used up my benefits… and did absolutely nothing to fix the problem! A fe

Staff is friendly but they seem to have a high turn over. The main reason for the 1 star is because i(like other patients ) received a bill 19 months AFTER my last treatment. The reason they gave me was they were under staff. I paid the bill upfront (over $1100) and insurance paid the rest but now they are saying the insurance didn’t pay enough. I asked for proof and all I got was a piece of paper saying what i owe. I wanted the original bill statement cause I believe they added on to my bill to get extra money. I mean what proof do they have that they didn’t. I need to know what the original bill was cause the insurance is going to investigate. Maybe I should email the Attorney General as well.

I’m so happy I found Dr. Mills and trusted her! She was so kind and patient and very informative, explaining each step as she’s working! I was so traumatized coming from another office and I literally just left the office 4 hours ago and can eat like nothing has happened…the office I came from, they did fillings on the right side of my mouth in January and I’m still in pain today and it’s almost March! Now I think I’m going to let her fix their work! I’m very satisfied! Highly recommended!!!!!!!! Thank you Dr Mills 🩷
