My Kid's Dentist & Orthodontics

If you have a neurotypical child, you will likely have a wonderful experience. I have a level 2 autistic child who requires additional prompting, and lots of patience. It would be great to see more pediatric dentists with training in providing care for children with intellectual disabilities. There doesn’t seem to be much patience or desire to work with the individual child. I feel we’re often met with short fuses and impatience because my child does not understand why hands are in her mouth or what is being done. This isn’t a jab at all, just a suggestion that perhaps proper training in dealing with children with autism could be offered to enhance the experience for a child who is different.

My wife and I took our kids here a few times and originally did not have an issue, but they've made some big changes in the last year. Our old dentist is no longer there and we're not impressed with the new pediatric dentist. Recently our 3-year-old daughter had to have a filling done and neither the doctor, nor the tech had very calming or patient demeanors. After the procedure was done, our daughter's lip became swollen and looked like it may be infected. We called the dentist and asked if we could bring her in or at least send a picture. They told us they could not see her until the afternoon the next day and would not accept a photo to at least see what we are talking about. The receptionist was rude and showed no sympathy. When we asked if we should just take her to regular urgent car

This place has been renovated and under new ownership. It is not kid friendly and the previous set up was better than the most recent. They removed the cavity tree, play room and the patient rooms are small and depressing. My sons dental assistant did not exercise care and did not provide him with a prize at the end of his visit. We will be seeking another dentist for these reasons. If its not broken, don't fix it.

I needed an appointment for my 5 year old and our previous dentist couldn’t get him in for another four months. Main Street Dental was able to get him in the next day to assess and back within a week for the major work he needed. My son had to be put under general anesthesia, which made me very emotional. The staff was so empathetic, giving me comforting hugs and reassurance my child would be well. Office Manager Ceci checked in on my son for me and updated me along the way. The doctor was quick in doing all the work that needed to be done so that my son wasn’t under longer than he needed to be. This was the best experience I could have wanted. Thank you for the kind care you provided.

I recently took my daughter to see a pediatric dentist, and I have to say, this team is hands down the best! From the front desk staff to the assistants in the back, everyone was so welcoming and professional. My daughter was initially very fearful, but thanks to the amazing care and attention she received, she had such a positive experience. She’s now actually looking forward to her next visit! Highly recommend this practice for anyone looking for a wonderful dental experience for their little ones.
