This center is courteous and seems well managed. Appointments were on time and pleasant. This was a super experience, so much better than I believed it would be. The hearing specialist Brent was great, and the test was thorough. He explained all the charting of my hearing loss to my understanding, which I appreciated. There were options for hearing aids to compensate for this. The range of sophistication varied from aids covered by my insurance completely to aids costing more out of pocket. I chose aids that would be covered (about 2500 dollars) and he gave me the option to upgrade with no penalty within 30 days. As it turns out, the hearing aids I chose are wonderful. After offering a free hearing exam they asked for my insurance card when I arrived. I declined giving them my card since the exam was free. After the exam I was told that I needed hearing aids and that if I decided to continue they needed my insurance card. I gave them my card to check my benefits and was told my insurance covered 100%. I continued with the order. A few days later I received a call from them telling me there was a "glitch" with my insurance and they didn't cover all of it and that I had to pay about $800. I cancelled. I called my insurance company about the issue and they said there was no "glitch". I told them to watch my account for any charges from Tru Hearing because the exam was free. I have been with the Sheffield Lake facility for over 6 years. Lori and Frank have always been extremely professional as well as welcoming and warm. I would recommend them to anyone looking to improve their hearing ability.

I really liked the audiologist Brent Studebaker. He patiently explained the process. Lori at the front desk was very friendly and professional. I paid for the extended plan so I can continue to use them as a resource on my hearing health journey. My HA’s are nearly invisible. I enjoy hearing sounds I had forgotten: birds singing, paper shuffling, etc.

I really do feel a huge improvement in my hearing. With as much as I paid for them though, they should offer me replacement cones and wax guards when I go in for follow up visits.
