My Family Clinic Juana Maria Espejo MD PA

It saddens me to see Dr. Espejo's clinic get mediocre ratings. I understand people's experiences there. Dr. Espejo was a great doctor for me when she worked for the McAllen Veterans Affairs. Numerous times she saved me when other valley doctors didn't know what they were doing. I hope that Dr. Espejo can fix her staff and process at her clinic because she does know her stuff. If I lived close to Pharr, I'd try to be a patient of hers. Believe me, she's that good. Perhaps her clinic's service isn't up to par. Hope things get fixed with that.

Was never given a proper appointment time. Staff is rude. They kept transferring my call to one another and at the end ended up with no appointment.

Called as a new patient to make an appointment and receptionists kept taking my name and number saying they'd call back. Waited until the next day and never received a call back. I called the following day, same thing. They asked for my name, number, Insurance information and asked me health questions and then said they'd call me back as soon as they verified my insurance. I waited for her call and never received a call. I then called a third time, the girl who said would call me back, was gone for the day and was not returning until the following week. The girl who answered the call asked me the same questions again. If this is how they are with new patients, I can't imagine how they are with their patients.

Worst clinic I've been to. Never will I be back. 2 patients had covid and process was unprofessional. Had 2 family members of mine inside waiting while covid people were inside and they didn't even close the clinic due to covid patients to disinfect. Nurses just made me go back in forth for 2 days gave false information of walk in times. I would recommend different clinic. Don't waist your time here where they risk patients life due to unprofessionalism.

It has its days when the clinic is not very doing so well customer service wise. But oh let me see Your insurance. Ya The Service is alright. It’s a 50/50 not 100%
