I had a great experience with the SCI Pharr CDL-A program. The instructors—Joe Cano, Art Renteria, and Herminio Torres—are extremely professional, patient, and knowledgeable. They truly respect your time and make sure every student understands the material. What really stood out was the personalized, hands-on training they provide, focusing on each student’s strengths and areas that need improvement. I am writing this to warn anyone considering the welding program here. The welding instructors have vast skill trade knowledge and provide insightful guidance and feedback. However, the school is charging over $14,000 in tuition and they clearly have no interest in actually providing the tools necessary for you to learn the trade. • The Equipment Crisis: We are currently in a situation where students are forced to hover around a single booth. Most days you spend well over 50% of your "shop time" standing against a wall watching someone else weld because there aren't enough machines to go around. All while the administrative staff have the audacity to lecture students on poor attendance (no booth, no work) and drop out rates. • Total Lack of Accountability: The administration is fully aware
