I see a bunch of bad reviews but I just came here to say that I had a really good experience at MUSC Sean Jenkins hospital. They took really good care of me and my baby. Had my baby in 2022. They made sure to fill up my ice cup and they brought soda. The food was really good. The view in my room was nice and the nurses were nice. They kept my baby wrapped up nicely and they washed him up really good. They checked on me regularly. And I had no problems with this hospital or the staff.
I can’t say enough about how excellent this hospital is! My daughter synthia was in the PICU for 19 days. She was transported from Conway South Carolina With pneumonia and flu A. she had to be intubated. It was so scary! First of all the transport team went above and beyond to make sure our daughter was safe & Secure to travel! Once we arrived at MUSC, we were met with the attending doctors and staff nurses also the Neurology Dr Came to assess because my daughter has epilepsy. The neurologist immediately came in and made adjustments to my daughter’s medication’s which to this day she is still not having seizures like she was before she was even sick. I can’t say enough about him! The team of doctors that were caring for my daughter or amazing! They would talk things over with their staff
Overall it was great! I came in for emergency hand surgery and mostly everyone was nice and great! Dr Daley was great too. The only thing is after waking up they didn't let my mom in for like 30 minutes even though I was asking for her and one of the nurses tried to quote just pin it referring to the bandages I had to wear for 2 weeks. Other than that it was 👍
0.5 stars if I could. I came for an induction and staff didn’t come to clean my room at all until I was discharged. I was switched to come to MUSC during my pregnancy and told MUSC is the best in the state, but they couldn’t diagnose my baby until after birth. I was discharged without filling baby birth certificate details and I had to request the forms. I had to sleep in the room I had my baby in because they said Mother Baby Unit was full. My placenta cord blood was taken against my wishes!!!! Baby has been staying in the hospital for months now without clear answers. I initially tried to ask for second opinions or a transfer to another hospital, and they tried to discourage me and made things very difficult. They have a huge staffing shortage. Your nurse will be busy trying to train an
Words truly can’t express my gratitude for MUSC Shawn Jenkins—especially for Dr. Scott Russell. This year, our family had to visit the ER twice on two separate occasions for my son. The first time was for strep, and the second time he had the flu and suddenly couldn’t walk. Both experiences were frightening as a parent. By God’s grace, each time we came in, Dr. Scott Russell was on call. I’ll be honest—I’ve grown weary of doctors over the years—but the moment Dr. Russell walked into the room, I could immediately tell he genuinely cared. His posture, presence, and attentiveness spoke volumes before he even said a word. He listened. He showed true compassion. He respected my boundaries, validated my concerns, and understood my fears. He was thorough, patient, and took the time to educate
