MUSC Health Gastroenterology at Ashley River Tower

I have never been to this office and now I will never go to this office. I was greeted with a level of professionalism that I would have expected from a fly by night veterinarian clinic not The medical university of South Carolina. I am completely disappointed in the office worker by the name of Monique that answered the phone on a level that I wouldn't even use with my friends let alone a patient or client of a facility. Standards apparently are a thing of the past. Y'all need to do a little better. When a person is already sick and scared and having to go to a doctor that they've never been to before and then they're greeted with this kind of nastiness and makes you not want to go to that doctor or any other doctor for all that goes. I can only imagine how the doctor treats the patients

IBD patients with complex cases that require time and critical thinking skills are better off going out of state or elsewhere. Otherwise prepare to have your symptoms minimized, mychart messages ignored, and have zero care plan or symptom management offered to you. If you're symptomatic they occasionally offer to run some tests, but constantly reschedule appointments, and you're left to deal with symptoms for months at a time by yourself. Because they don't want to be bothered with patients, they often tell you to go to the er if your symptoms get worse. Then they will penalize you for actually going and medically gaslight you and assume you're pain seeking. If you live two hours away, they don't care about what it takes for you to travel, no matter how sick you are. If you go to any oth

PHENOMENAL physicians but the nurse was rude, dismissive, cut me off when I answered her questions, and clearly didn’t want to be there.

Good luck trying to get a referral here. My mom got a referral from MUSC Florence to see a doctor in MUSC Charleston (Dr. Werth) for cirrhosis of the liver and over a month and a half no one has bothered to even get in touch or call back. They haven’t bothered to get in touch with us or her doctor!
