MUSC Children's Health Pediatric Emergency Department

The room we were placed in had dirty linen on the bed and a cart full of “soiled linen”. It sucks that this is the only pediatric ER in the low country..

This ER needs a better plan for autistic children with no patience. My son unfortunately self harms himself when very anxious and waiting for long periods. Big changes need to be put in place for the people with special needs children!! I am not a happy mommy right at the moment with this hospitals ER at all !!! My son busted his chin open and when he self harms he hits his chin ,so he is hitting over and over again his hurt chin because he has been waiting a long while now. Please make changes for better visits for other special needs families in the future!!

So impressed by this team, they were able to avoid a full blown surgery for my son removing something from his ear with mild sedation. The ENT, attending physicians, residents, nurses and tech were all so skilled, and just really nice. They were super professional yet approachable. They were so good about communicating with my special needs son. The facility is so clean and well kept. THANK YOU!

Everyone treated us very well. The entire team actually worked as a team, which was nice to see. They were slammed busy but every single person we encountered, was nice, professional and thorough. This was the first time I've ever taken my daughter to the ER and even though we were there for 10 hours, they made us feel comfortable and like we mattered. It took forever but only because there were so many patients to treat and prioritize. Keep up the awesome teamwork and thank you!!

This is the most incredible place we’ve ever been for anything ever. The docs here saved our sons life while we ended up in their care two hours before our vacation in Kiawah was about to start. Everyone was the kindest most caring people in the business. The facility is world class and we always felt cared for and loved. Every sick child on earth deserves a children’s hospital like this.
