MUSC Children's Health Dermatology at Rutledge Tower

I drive 2 hours for my daughters appts and always feel like the staff take adequate time to see us, speak with us and make us feel good about her treatment and progress. Highly unsatisfied with the scheduling department. Had a staff member tell me not to leave without a follow up appt because you will get forgotten about. I tried to schedule and they said they had no openings and would call me in a couple days. I waited 2 weeks before I received a call and my daughters follow up was suppose to be 3 weeks after initial appt.

Very slow..you waited there for an hour and they sent someone from resident program to take down notes and the doctor saw you for secs and that’s it…it’s a teaching experience for them but for you not so much. Your baby will end up with crying because they waited so long for nothing. Poor baby

My granddaughter had laser treatment for a birth mark and they were 1 1/2 hours behind!!!! Horrible! We sat in the exam room for over an hour! No explanation, they do this treatment once a month, and we drive 3 hours to get there. Be better for your patients please this is very sub par.

My daughter had gotten a bad bacterial reaction that affected her whole body I drove 2 hours to this office and now she is doing much better. This was a very scary moment for me and my family and the doctors and staff were very helpful in helping us be more at ease.

I was highly disappointed with our interaction with MUSC pediatric dermatology. I would absolutely not take my daughter back and have since taken her to a different practice and am significantly happier. MUSC continuously told me with her condition, there was nothing that could be done and only after a good bit of back and forth agreed to treat a tiny area. This did nothing. I was charged for “minor surgery” - which was not at all the case. The billing department is a whole other nightmare. I have found a doctor who treated my child properly and we have seen almost 100% positive results. My expectations for this branch of MUSC were high and to say I was displeased would be an understatement.
