Murray Shoe Repair

Rude, insulting and proceeds to try and correct me on supination. Saying walking in outside of foot is pronation. Wrong! Anyway he starts off on a rant about learning from four Italian brothers. The new soles are not applied properly. I show him and he just says if they fail bring them back. They look like they are separated already without even trying them on. He calls my shoes cheap Kmart shoes????? Why??? Why would anyone try and insult a customer. Mephisto’s are generally considered a decent shoe at $425, I would hope they are half way decent. He informed me the shoes do not have a welt to sew on a new sole. Which they do. He informs me he can only glue on a sole. I called Mephisto and they told me to send them the shoes to fix this guys lousy sole job. $90.10 to ruin my shoes. I do n

I came by your shop about two months ago with some boots. Fantastic workmanship. We chatted away while you worked and within 39-40 min. I walked out the door with my boots. I came by last week with several items to leave. I find you are temporarily closed. I hope you are okay. It’s really difficult to find anyone that repairs shoes. I have searched around and I’m not locating another source close by (within an hour). 😕

I have had several pairs of boots resoled and new heels put on. My boots are always done promptly, and they are always great. The guy is not rude like some of the other reviews. If you tell any craftsperson who has honed their skills for years how to do their job, you will probably get an unpleasant reply. This trade is no different. Drop your stuff off, tell him what you want, and it will be done.

So appreciated the customer service and complete transparency (unable to make requested repair). Honesty & integrity are so crucial for running a successful business! Thank you (although I am so sad to part ways with my favorite boots)

He was super friendly, and repaired my two pairs of cowgirl boots beautifully, they honestly look and feet brand new. I'm super impressed, and highly recommend him for repairs! <3
