A very dear friend of mine was recently here...they ignored the fluid buildup in her legs so long she had 20 lbs of fluid in her body....she been fighting and fighting but the people there ( for the most part) are only there for a paycheck and not to actually care. Her med orders were not followed and in her words " the dr. Was too worried about budget to give out the proper doses of medication" . My lovely friend with a beautiful soul and a heart of gold got sicker and sicker there , then they decided to put her in the wing with Covid patients, which she contracted... this place is terrible and needs a regulatory commission to come in amd inspect the place, especially the pharmacy. I think that place is one pill for you, Two pills for me. Allegedly speaking theoretically of course .

My father, who had moderate dementia and was in late/end stage heart failure, went to Mt. Greylock at the end of last year, 2022, for rehab following a hospitalization. Because of his dementia/wandering, and because of his deteriorating heart issues, it was deemed unsafe for him to be back home with my mother, as she couldn't take care of him with his increased needs. He was located in 1 South for his rehab and was very happy there. The staff was so wonderful and skilled and seemed to appreciate my father's sense of humor. I'd here, "I love him," quite often as he loved to make them laugh. Eventually dad was moved to long term care in South 2, after they felt that his rehab had gone as far as it could. It was hard when we realized that he just couldn't come home, but mom visited at least t

My mom has been living at Mt. Greylock Extended care for over 2 years. She initially was there for Rehab after a hospitalization , and did very well making a lot of progress, but it was just not safe for her to be living at home with me any longer. She needed more care than I could provide for her. She was transitioned to long term care which was, looking back, harder for me to accept than it was for her. She seemed right at home from the start. I visit my mom often and always find her to be comfortable and well cared for. The nursing staff , activity department staff and rehab keep me updated and informed on all aspects of her care and well being. She has a beautiful view of the woods from the large window in her room , she enjoys watching birds and even visits from a family of D

My daughter, aged 66, was admitted to Greylock after a hospital stay at BMC. She is totally deaf. Normally she is very oral, meaning she can lip read very well and speak. Being seriously ill, she could hardly use her hands to sign and too weak to speak. There were no arrangements to provide interpreters. Most of her caregivers were not even aware that she was deaf. They came in and talked to her with face masks on, making it totally impossible for my daughter to know what they were saying. Her care was totally unacceptable. One night she even fell out of bed and found on the floor. I was totally displeased at how my daughter was treated and the lack of interest of so many of her caregivers. We asked for a third time for my daughter's broken bedside table to be replaced, just to b

It’s hard to even put in words my appreciation and gratitude for this place and the entire staff. Everyone takes pride and care for their patients. I can’t remember all the names of everyone I spoke to . However I do remember the last person I encountered a very special man Phil. He has a heart of Gold. He goes above and beyond his call of duty! He took the time to shave and clean up my stepdad George. He also cleaned up his room and organized things. Jesus said ““And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25‬:‭40‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Phil and the staff have shown true Love and compassion. My stepdad George is most likely living out the last days of his life here on earth. What a co
