Mountain View Family Dentistry: Thomas V. Carnaggio DMD

If I could give negative stars- I would! The front desk staff are nice but everything else that goes on after they call your name is ridiculous! My daughter had a dental visit at Mountain View Family Dentistry located at 3055 S Hwy 127 in Hickory, NC on September 11, 2025. Everything went well until the end. I noticed that the instruments they used on her mouth were directly on the counter. No barrier present. I said nothing as I wasn't 100% sure of practices and such. The dentist even put on her gloves, glasses and then tightened the straps from behind her head right before going into my daughters mouth. I should've said something then but didn't want the rest of the treatment to be tense for my daughter. Fast forward to October 16, 2025. My daughter has another appointment at the office

I'm a 100% disabled veteran and I was sent to this practice by VA Community Care for pain in my mouth. Showed up for my appointment and was seen by there hygienist, and briefly by a temporary dentist. I made a complaint that all my Diagnosis was done by the hygienist and was never told to me by the temp dentist. Now they are completely refusing to see me. Now I have to drive to Ashville to get dental work done. I strongly do not recommend this office. They obviously don't care about disabled veterans.

Dr canggio knows what he’s doing I’m glad I found a dentist like him

This was my dentist office for a few years until I moved to Winston-Salem. I always saw Dr Thomas I don't know where these negative reviews come from. When I went there my wait time was very short the staff was very friendly always greeting me with a smile. If I still lived in the area this would be the dental office I would still be going to

They're are a great group of people who work there. They are friendly and they make me feel at ease. I love going to the dentist.
