This is a great and caring hospital. The power of community to create health is far greater than any physician, clinic or hospital. Dr. Christopher Caravanos and his staffs are the best. They were able to save my mother's life. Thank you Dr. Christ and his team.

I had an extremely disappointing and traumatic experience with Mount Sinai Hospital regarding the care of my mother, who has ALS. We brought my mother to the hospital specifically because her condition was worsening and I was no longer able to safely care for her at home while working. The clear plan was for her to be placed in a subacute rehab facility. Instead, Mount Sinai pushed for discharge despite her declining condition and limited mobility. We were told that only one rehab facility would accept her, and that facility had extremely poor reviews and multiple reports of neglect and abuse. When I expressed that I did not feel it was safe to send my mother there, I was told our only options were that rehab or home an impossible choice given her medical needs and my work obligations.

I would like to take my time to thank Mrs Ifeula Samuels (supervisor patient accounting Medicaid) for helping me successfully submit my dad application I was struggling with for months, she’s was very patient and accountable. That’s the type of people we need in the healthcare system. Thank Again Mrs Samuels you’re the best.

This review is strictly for Dr. Julien. He is a great doctor, and one of the few with excellent bedside manners. He introduced himself properly, he was engaged with everyone in the room, and explained everything while making good eye contact with everyone to make sure everyone was on the same board. He answered all questions, and just generally had a positive attitude despite it being busy. That’s a good doctor! And there’s not many like him in NYC.

The experince was at a 3. I have gone twice so far. The security guard I was met with the first time I went just looked annoyed and lacked empathy. The person in the front was nice. The first nurse that took my pressure he was alright. Not bad but not great. The doctor was super nice. Ans another nurse that supported me. The nurse that took put my blood approach was not the best. I have had blood work done before and there is a way to put the rubber band on the arm so it's not so painful. Plus when he did take out the IV, it was just rougher then it needed to be too. I was seened pretty quickly and was out of there in 3 hours so I was happy about that. The second time, which was the next day, the security guard was nice. The person in the front was a bit rude. I went straight to a doctor
