Monroe Urgent Care

I took my son (who is 9) to Monroe Urgent Care on Saturday, December 9. In October, he had gotten sick and I waited a few days before taking him in. He ended up having strep and Flu A, so I did not wait around this time. We arrived shortly after they opened and only waited about 10 minutes. The nurse, Courtney, took us back to a room and started talking with my son. She told him she wanted to do a throat swap to test for the flu. He got a little upset and when she asked him what was wrong he said he didn't like the compression stick they put on his tongue last time. Her reply was, "Oh sweetie, we just won't use that then, ok?" That put him at ease immediately. She made him comfortable and was absolutely amazing with him. I’ll make this short and sweet, The older lady at the front desk either needs to retire or needs to take some sort of people interaction training. She claims she couldn’t read the numbers on my order form for my drug screening. So why don’t you just scan it like a normal person does. The medical assistant in the back, the kind of chubby one with a thin hair Is extremely rude and nasty. I went there for a drug test and was called back My significant other and I was just about to tell him I’m gonna call you back. I can’t be on my phone. Before I had a chance to say that she tells me to get off the phone in a nasty tone so I do. Tells me that I need to get a TB test in addition to the drug screening. Had to have my son seen. Very professional and down to earth conversations with PA Rigdon. Quick and easy diagnosis, and clear plan of treatment. My son even got a couple trinkets to take home. Very pleased

Courtney is amazing! She took her time and was so patient with my daughter when doing her strep test. All the staff was great 🩷

The staff and nurse were very helpful. I didn’t feel like another number, I felt like I was at my Dr.’s office. What a pleasant experience
