ModernMD Urgent Care - Jackson Heights

The full experience was great from start to finish. I called in to ask questions and Spoke To front desk Mia and she was able to answer all the questions I had prior to visiting the office when I came in. I approach front desk and Mia was there with a big smile and said she was the person I spoke to on the phone. The check-in process took about five minutes and I was in one of the rooms and I was talking to Dr. Turner. My vital signs were taken by a nurse and Dr. Turner took time to listen and ordered blood work. The nurse then took my blood and it was very painless. You can see how much experience they all have I know this is an urgent care, but if I could choose any Medical Office to be my primary care facility, this would be it. I was very surprised by the negative reviews, as our experiences at this location have consistently been positive. A few years ago, we brought my son in and the staff quickly recognized that he had pneumonia. They were thorough, attentive, and would not allow us to leave until they arranged a transfer to Elmhurst ER, which I truly appreciated. During what was a very stressful and scary situation as a parent, they took the time to explain everything clearly and made my son feel calm, safe, and comfortable. On another visit with my youngest child, we again received excellent care. The staff was kind, patient, and reassuring, and we never felt rushed. Brought my mom to ModernMD earlier this morning. She's had a bit of a bad cough for a few days and decided to get checked out. From the moment I walked in and interacted with Aaliyah at the front desk to when Chrisma took us to the exam room and took my mom's vitals I felt like my mom was in great hands. The facility is extremely clean and well kept and all staff is friendly and most importantly; approachable. Mark was her doctor who came in to the exam room and immediately recognized my mom it appeared from when she came in early fall. He was so attentive and patient as well as extremely knowledgeable and my mom was happy with her care. All around great experience!

The place is fantastic! Mark, the provider, had me in and out in no time. The medical assistant, Antoinette, was very kind and professional. The manager, Carmen, suggested Access MD which is a monthly subscription in which I can receive medical services at a reduced cost. I wish I found this place sooner. Will definitely recommend!!!

Editing my review because I got a call from them and they were much better on the phone. I appreciate them following up and putting care in ... I am extremely disappointed and annoyed in my experience at this modern MD. Firstly, I do want to say that the woman that came in to do my vitals was sweet and really nice so this has nothing to do with her. The doctor on staff that day could not care whether I lived or died lol. I came in for food poisoning, he gave me no advice outside of the brat diet. Which, okay I could have used Google for that. That's like basic common information at this point. I've had food poisoning for almost a week and the man was not concerned at all. He didn't ask me what I was eating outside of that for the last couple of days. All he did was ask me how many individu
