Modern Tonic

I had a 90 minute session with Alison three days ago and it was an amazing experience. She started off by taking the time to really understand and listen to my concerns I wanted to address, and she also asked questions throughout the session, checking in on my comfort. Alison not only helped with areas of tension I knew I had, but she also unlocked areas that I didn’t even know were tight through her mix of massage, sliding cups, and acupuncture. To top it all off, we could hear the relaxing sounds of the rain outside - though I don’t think she can control the weather :) I left the session feeling calmer and looser than I can last remember, and slept like a baby that night. After a weekend of running around, I’m still feeling great - thank you Alison!!!

Alison is excellent. Her combination of modalities…acupuncture, massage and cupping…allows her to address all concerns. I have benefitted greatly from my treatments with Alison, and look forward to the next one.

Alison at Modern Tonic combines Acupuncture and massage therapy in such beautifully healing ways! She shows so much kindness, empathy, and understanding of her clients, which shines through in her expertise and use of both modalities. She is one of the best massage therapists and acupuncturists I’ve been to in the city hands down! The space is also incredibly beautiful and serene. I always leave feeling so rejuvenated and have noticed a decrease in my joint pain and areas I hold tension. I highly recommend modern tonic!!
