I can't say enough good things about this shop. I had always admired the frames in the windows, and i was so excited to finally go inside! Vanessa helped my husband and I select the most perfect frames. Will was so personable doing our pre-testing. Dr. Chris gave us the most thorough eye exams we have ever had. Overall, this was the best experience I have had at an optometrist on the east or west coast of this country. And to top it off, the decor in this shop is fantastic. I'm so excited to come back!

Stopped in for a quick sunglasses repair - had lost a screw - they helped right away and don’t charge me. Wonderful service! Will return when I need to buy new frames because they have an incredible selection

I’ve been going to Modern Eye for a couple of years now. Their eye doctors are all very thorough. We have our entire family getting eye exams and glasses from here. One of the main reasons why we go to Modern Eye is because they sell frames from Say Oh which is one of the rare frame designers that make frames for low nose bridges, common amongst Asians. The reason why you see so many Asians with frames that sit too low on their face is because they’re wearing frames made for people of European descent. Sadly, it’s almost impossible to find high quality frames made with more support on the nose pads, especially on acetate frames. I have come here so many times with various questions & appointments, and everyone that works at Modern Eye has always been incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and most importantly so warm & welcoming (no matter how silly my questions may have been). They helped fix my glasses (when others said they were beyond repair) -- but also have a huge variety of gorgeous frames for anyone looking to buy new ones. Definitely the best optometrist in Philadelphia -- but also just the coolest glasses shop! Highly recommend.

This is a great place. The selection of frames, the quality and longevity of the staff, and the excellent eye care have kept me coming back over and over. I'm on my 7th pair of frames and don't plan to stop. I love you, Modern Eye!
