I recently visited Mixan Eye Care for the first time, and couldn’t be happier with my experience. Dr. Mixan was incredibly friendly and approachable. He took his time explaining everything in detail, making sure I understood what he was seeing and addressing any questions I had. I never once felt rushed. It’s clear he genuinely cares about his patients. When it came to pricing, Dr. Mixan was very knowledgeable and offered options that fit my budget. I also loved learning that Mixan Eye Care is a family-owned business ran by him and his wife. Supporting local businesses like this one feels great, and I’ll definitely be returning for all my future eye care needs. If I could, I would give them six stars! I was quite impressed by the friendly, patient and meticulous care I received from Dr. Mark Mixan — and at a reasonable price to boot. I knew I was in the right hands almost immediately and especially appreciated how he took the time to explain to me each step in the testing protocol.

He is a skilled optometrist, but abandoned his practice on West Dodge Road (linked to Eyemart Express) with no notification whatsoever to his patients. I showed up for an appointment and found the place deserted. Staff at Eyemart said nobody had been there for 3 months and Dr. Mixan had relocated to another state. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to his patients! I wonder where my medical records about a retinal issue can be found…

Mark and Trevor were a tremendous help today getting us in for our yearly eye exam. Probably the fastest eye exam we’ve had. I highly recommend them and will continue to come here. Nice and friendly service. Thanks again.

Trevor was very friendly which put me at ease and Dr. Mixan was also friendly and explained everything so that I could understand. Best eye appointment I have ever had.
