MinuteClinic at CVS

I brought my daughter here for a strep test, and unfortunately our experience with the nurse’s assistant was very upsetting. The throat swab was performed in an extremely aggressive manner, causing my daughter significant distress. She nearly gagged and began crying immediately afterward, and the encounter felt unnecessarily forceful and traumatic. The nurse practitioner, however, was very kind and compassionate. She explained that current testing methods are highly sensitive and can often detect infection from minimal saliva. Given that information, I don’t understand why such an aggressive throat swab was necessary, especially with a child.

This was such a wonderful experience. From checking in for a walk-in appointment to walking out with prescriptions, was a total of 40 minutes. Mandy was the nurse practitioner that we saw. It was quick, clean, professional and efficient. We will definitely be back.

Made an appointment online and was there 10 minutes early to check in, took me right away and was in and out no waiting! Would definitely recommend CVS minute clinic instead of waiting in an immediate care forever. Everyone was nice and cared about what was going on.

Feeling horrible for days, decided I needed the help of a professional. Booked an online appointment and everything was so simple and smooth. Kylee was the nurse practitioner who met with me. She was amazing from being to end. A quick diagnosis, meds ordered, instruction on how and when to take them. General info on things to do to help me feel better quicker. I can’t say the visit fell short in anyway. I would recommend the Lockport IL location to anyone in need of “non emergency” type care.

the practitioner was extremely rude to me the two times that i have gone to the minute clinic. She seemed so annoyed that i was even there, and she kept getting snippy with me each time i had asked a question. I totally understand being tired and having a long day but it does not give her the right to take it out on me. She basically wanted to pacify me and just told me to go to the ER. She was super rude, even the person that had gone with me to this visit had told me the same thing. I put in a review a while ago but i do feel like this needs to be known, even though im genuinely not the type to write a complaint. I felt like she wasn’t taking me seriously at all and was just trying to get me out. Her attitude was almost baffling.
