Serious Concerns Regarding Care, Billing, and Accountability On January 12, 2026, I had an appointment at Mint Dentistry Uptown for the extraction of four wisdom teeth, scheduled at 10:00 AM and completed at checkout around 1:00 PM. The procedure was performed by Dr. Justin Phillip. The appointment began with lidocaine injections to all four extraction sites. The first tooth removed, #32 (impacted), took approximately 45 minutes to extract. The second tooth, #17 (impacted), was by far the most painful and distressing part of the procedure. After another 45 minutes, the tooth was only partially extracted, with a small portion cut off. After an additional 15 minutes, Dr. Phillip stopped the extraction after observing my visible distress, despite administering more lidocaine. At this poin

I want to be fair to this business. My first visit was a very positive experience—everyone was kind, and the dentist did not try to push any unnecessary treatments. I left feeling very pleased with the care I received. I hadn’t returned in some time due to scheduling difficulties, as I work in the suburbs and their earliest available appointment is 8:45 a.m. At this visit, I came in expecting only a routine cleaning, but was told I would also need to stay for a full exam and have X-rays taken. I calmly asked if I could proceed with just the cleaning and return another day for the exam and X-rays, but this request was refused. Start to finish 5 stars. Ira one of the techs in office was very quick and professional. The Dr and Hygienist We’re super cool and very informative. The doctor even checked my tongue, which I’ve never had done in the 37 years I’ve been on this earth. I had to ask what was that for and she said looking for cancerous signs. Hands down highly recommend.

From the time that I scheduled my appointment, to the time that I left the dentist office, the experience was great! There wasn't a long wait before I was seen, which is important to me. Love coming here. Jackie my hygienist is great and I always go with her. She is the reason I come to this location. Dana at the front desk was lovely and helped answer some questions with new coverage.
