Doctor Hess is the worst vet in New Orleans. She has the bedside manner of a closeted drill Sargent who forgot to eat that day. My partner and I started taking our pets to mid city back when there were two vets there because her old business partner was good. Eventually Bridget must have had enough of Dr Hess’ absolutely horrid personally because she left last year. I don’t blame her for leaving. Dr Hess doesn’t listen, she’s arrogant and argumentative. She tacks on extra services we didn’t ask for and don’t need and will refuse to do things we do ask for. I am a creature of habit and it takes a lot for me to switch to anything new but I have finally had enough. I will never go back again

I came to Dr. Hess a couple years ago after receiving subpar emergency care at another animal hospital and have stuck with MidCity Vet ever since! I love that they are dog AND cat people. They went above and beyond, without prescribing useless treatments just to run up the tab. Can’t recommend them enough!

My name is Camden and I am a 13yo golden retriever. My mommy and daddy brought me here last week. We had to leave our house and my big back yard in Florida after that mean Hurricane Helene lady flooded our house so now we live at our apartment in New Orleans while mommy and daddy fix our house. I normally go to a really nice doctor at home, but when I started coughing a lot and mommy felt a big lump in my throat they brought me to Mid City. It was right after that day with all the parades and loud noises, I don't like them very much but, I digress. When mommy brought me in, the doctor was so nice and gave me lots of scratches behind my ear. . . I do like that. She started to tell mommy some things and even though I didn't know what she was saying mommy was crying so I knew it wasn't

We have had our dogs in the care with Dr. Hess for years. She is a very honest, patient, and kind doctor. Thank you also to every staff member for their understanding and kindness through the years. It can be so hard to find a place to trust your life companions with, we cannot recommend Mid City more!
