Approach at your own risk. This man has a proclivity for kicking people when they’re down and treating them like trash under the guise of tough love. He’ll then apologize profusely, but it will prove merely a ploy to get yet more money out of you, especially since I myself had been paying out of pocket. He was cruel, self-serving, and as someone who knows a fair bit about psychology (I left a doctoral psych program due to financial hardship), I recognize incompetence when I see it. This man is a lousy human being and a worse therapist. I’m sure certain individuals might stand to get something out of the experience, but, overall, he’s a jerk of the highest caliber and I’d steer well clear of his office. Do yourself a favor and find someone with a shred of empathy and goodwill.
