Over 2 hours in the ER waiting room and still have yet to hear our number called. Was referred by our family doctor and that didn’t make it a top priority? Needless to say we left without saying a word. Overheard someone next to us say they were there since 1:30 and finally got in around 6:30. What a joke. Where’s patient care?

I came into the ER on 10/27 with chest pains, shortness of breath, severe back spasms, light headed, dizziness. I waited for an hour to be seen. They refused to address my pain until they did testing and xrays. My pain was a 10 as I was flipped and propped and scanned- which made my pain and spasms worse. They FINALLY gave me medication, but at that point I was crying uncontrollably. The nurse was condescending and rude and kept saying “just breathe “. I was already short of breath, crying uncontrollably and dealing with spasms racking my body. When i told her to “please stop saying that” she told the Charge Nurse i was rude to her. On September 30, 2025, around 7:00 PM, I went to the Emergency Department at Miami Valley North after being rear-ended in a car accident earlier that day. What I experienced there was the worst treatment and neglect I’ve ever received in a medical setting. Because I am a single parent, I had no one else to rely on. I declined the ambulance at the scene because I needed to make sure my son was safe first. After getting him settled, I took myself to the ER in pain, wearing pajamas, already shaken up, and dealing with anxiety from being back in a hospital (especially since I lost my mom in a fire two years ago). From the moment I walked in, I felt judged for my appearance. I was placed in a neck brace that was applied harshly. When I expressed discomfort, I was told I could just refuse it.

NEVER in my 44 years of life have I heard of an emergency room sending someone home with a 231/115 blood pressure. Y'all need to be ashamed of yourselves and if something happens to the father of my children you will be held responsible! 231/115 is a MEDICAL EMERGENCY and it is stroke-level, heart-attack level, organ-damage level. You WILL be reported for this. Miami Valley entirely BOTH hospitals needs investigated and completely restaffed! It will happen.
