I recently gave birth here and I can not sing the praises of the nurses and doctors, (most especially the nurses) at Framingham Union Maternity. I got the best care. As a black woman in the US, getting good maternity care was a top priority for me and a source of anxiety. I had nothing to worry about at Metrowest. I did not have a doula and with the impeccable care I got from the nurses, I didn’t really need one. Every single nurse that saw me was friendly and encouraging. Most important: They were so attentive. Not once did I feel dismissed or ignored. It is a tough job and they did it with compassion and enthusiasm. Massachusetts has the best maternity care in the country, but honestly you don’t have to go all the way to Boston for excellent care. You’ll have the best staff and team who
if i could give negative stars i would. I have never had a worse experience at an er. The staff was extremely unprofessional and hostile. The intake lady kept coming into my room unannounced (even while curtain was closed and I was exposed.) she was very rude the entire time. The doctor kept misrepresenting my symptoms and leaving mid conversation. Not to mention the staff was loudly talking very poorly about other patients including a handicapped man that was in the waiting room mocking and making fun of him, making me extremely uncomfortable. Shortly after being told i’d have to pay almost 5000 they discharged me just minutes later saying there’s nothing wrong with me. I can’t help but think it’s a wasn’t just a coincidence but because I wasn’t able to pay. Since my trip there the sympto
Two stars feels exceedingly generous, but here I am. I am an otherwise healthy (aside from being overweight) early-30s person who was brought here by ambulance today for sudden-onset, severe back pain (without any injury) that rendered me so immobile that Ashland FD placed an IV in me and gave me near immediate medication management in order to even get me out of my apartment and down the stairs. I am not a “revolving door” patient, and I do not have any other remotely recent hospitalizations or particular history that would lead anyone reasonable to believe I am “med-seeking”. I was not offered so much as water, I was not given a nurse call bell. I managed to curl myself back into a doubled-over position on my knees, and was probably very visibly in intense pain by the time the ambulan
The moment my doctor sent me to Metrowest Medical Center for testing, I pictured myself sinking into a hard plastic chair for hours, watching the afternoon slip away. Walking in at 3:30 felt like a gamble, but I took it anyway. To my surprise, the registration area was almost empty. Only one person stood ahead of me. Then Liz looked up and greeted me with a smile so warm it felt like stepping into sunlight. Her easy, cheerful energy dissolved the tension I’d been carrying. As she typed, her fingers danced across a brightly colored keyboard, each click a tiny burst of color. She laughed and told me the rainbow keys make her happy — and somehow, that small detail made me happy too. From there, I headed to the outpatient lab. The tech moved with quick, practiced confidence, and before I cou
I am very angry about what happened today with my 83 year old husband and his appointment. His doctor had order a needle biopsy under ultrasound. I heard from the hospital no fewer that 5 times about this appointment. When we arrived 30 mins early so we could make sure all the paperwork was done we were informed that only an ultrasound was ordered. I spoke with his doctors office and they said order was sent correctly. So who knows who made the mistake. We had to hold his blood thinners so he could get this done. Mind you this was booked about two and a half weeks ago. I asked if we could be seen the first available day that they were doing these which is next Tuesday,,, Well just got a text that we are booked not next week but the following Wednesday. This is poor patient service at
