Methodist Urgent Care (Aksarben Village)

Went here a year ago and again today, both in winter, both midday, and both for a persistent cough. It was quiet and I was seen pretty quickly. I was handed antibiotics both times (I guess that's just protocol when a cough has lasted 2 weeks). Kind of wish they did more testing, but I forgot to ask. I'm just satisfied with how fast everything was without an appointment. I think I spent an hour here altogether.

About a month ago I came in to this urgent care with symptoms of nasal drainage, coughing, and congestion. I was diagnosed with a sinus infection and was prescribed amoxicillin, for a while it cleared me up but then it came back. I went back to this same clinic (I also had the same nurse practitioner who talked with a condescending tone) and was diagnosed with an upper respiratory but was not prescribed anything just told to take some over the counter medication. I knew that I wouldn’t get better so I went to the Council Bluffs location. I told the nurse practitioner about my other visits and an immediate green flag was when she saw that I wasn’t prescribed anything for an upper respiratory and said that she would have given me something, so she prescribed me a stronger antibiotic. After 20 ministers still never saw someone come out to the front at all. Finally left. Worst service for medical attention. Would give 0 stars if it was possible.

Had a great experience here. All 3 people that I came in contact with were extremely friendly, and they got my daughter and I in and out right away! Thanks again!

Waited for over an hour only to have my throat looked at for 5 seconds and told that there is no swelling. The PA did not seem to know how to check for swelling in lymph nodes. Staff seemed pretty condescending and it did not feel like an urgent care but more like a social club. I understand having “work besties” but you may upset some patients if they are waiting to be seen and all they hear outside their door is gossip about someone getting sued, not very professional, so glad I missed work for this experience.
