I had looked at my insurance online to find a dentist that accepted my insurance, and this place was accepting new patients. Great news! I made an appointment online and took the day off work. One of the gals at the front desk was chomping so loudly on potato chips, I could feel it. One lady asked me if I could ask my spouse questions about my insurance and just stared at me blankly when I stated that I had no spouse that covered me on my insurance that I pay for. The dentist was fine. The technician doing my x-rays seemed to be having fun playing with the machine. The dentist came in to look at my teeth and referred me out. So that was confusing. The service was absolutely terrible. First, the front desk clerk asked for my medical and dental insurance, which was strange because dental offices typically don’t ask for that. Once I was seen to the back, I got my X-rays and everything that needed to be done. I was shown the room to see the dentist, who came in right away. I knew something was wrong before he even started. They gave me a chart showing different cleaning options, and when he came in, he started saying how he had to check my mouth to determine the type of cleaning I needed. Then, he started poking my gums hard and yelling numbers out quickly for six minutes. After that, he shook my hand and said that the final person would be in to discuss payment. The staff at Metairie Modern were outstanding. I was blown away by the kindness and care I was shown from the moment I walked in the door. On top of the clean, peaceful setting it was the most comfortable dentist visit I’ve ever had despite needing extensive work. Dr. Tingstrom, Jaylan, and Wyn, I can’t thank you enough for giving me my smile back. Here’s to much deserved success for you in 2026!

I've been going to this place for a few years now. I've had my wisdom teeth pulled. I get regular cleanings. The office staff is great. The hygienists are great. The dentist the Great and the surgeon what's really good. The best dentist office of ever been to won't be making any changes

Sorry, I left my wallet at Honolulu Airport and recently had it returned, that explains my delay.
