I’ve been experiencing some loss of range of motion in right shoulder. Called for appt date and was seen in 3 days. Lengthy medical hx had to be filled out in office so arrived 15 minutes early to complete as per staff. The staff were very accommodating and pleasant. Waited ten minutes or so and was seen by Dr. Wetzler. He was very thorough and ordered some X-rays. After some discussion in regards to results a cortisone shot was administered. Painless. He is a great physician and surely appreciate his years of expertise. F/U in four weeks. Thanks for your care and concern.
I was really excited and hopeful to get some answers from a new doctor about hip pain that I have been experiencing. I experienced a long wait time probably about an hour after my appointment time. Then I was escorted in the back and waited a little bit longer and being my first time meeting this doctor, he came into the room with another person didn’t introduce himself didn’t introduce the man he was with didn’t ask me what my name was. It was very cold and to the point asked me what’s going on and told him my problems. got me x-rays and then in between getting my x-rays and waiting, the door was left open and I didn’t like the way he was talking to the staff. He was in and out of multiple different rooms and it just seemed so chaotic and then finally came said X-rays were fine did a co
While the medical care itself was adequate, my husband and I were disappointed by the doctor’s lack of cultural sensitivity during the visit. A comment directed at my 13-year-old daughter about her hair felt intrusive and inappropriate, especially given the context and our background as African Americans. It is unlikely the same comment would have been directed at someone of a different cultural background. This reflected poor bedside manner and a troubling lack of awareness and it left my daughter feeling embarrassed. I hope this feedback encourages more respectful and culturally informed interactions with patients of diverse background in the future, unless that's not this office's priority. In the mean time, we will not be going back to this doctor's practice.
Disappointed. For a patient to go to a Dr for advice and guidance to help rid them of crippling pain and not be treated with compassion is a disappointment to say the least. How does a Dr. complete an exam without touching the patient? No follow up plan. A few minor suggestions of how to help the pain, no recommendations to seek a professional expert to help the patient. If Dr. Wetzler was not able to help rid the patient of pain he could have recommended a next step instead of just walking out of the exam room with not even a goodbye. What an awful way to treat someone who is paying for a service and anticipating help, guidance and professionalism. I guess, even as doctors age, they lose that sense of caring and compassion in this world.
Dr Wetzler was the third surgeon I seen about doing my knee replacement first two doctors would not do me for various reasons my weight being one. I must say I’m glad they didn’t. My visit with doctor Wetzler was not long but I must say I just felt an overwhelming good feeling like this is the doctor that should be doing me. He made me feel comfortable which none of the others did. And I can tell he’s confident in what he does which is why he took me as a patient when the others didn’t and I’m so grateful. I’m so excited to be able to walk again and not live like this. Pat that works there that didn’t my intake paperwork and explained everything was fantastic as well. I’m very excited and very thankful I WILL POST AN AFTER PROCEDURE UPDATE.
