Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Oklahoma City South

My mother is currently a patient at Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital in Oklahoma City, and I want to specifically recognize Roger Herrera and the dietary department. She has had complicated dietary needs that required ongoing communication, clarification, and adjustments. Roger and his team were consistently patient, responsive, and genuinely committed to getting it right. They took the time to listen, coordinate with the nutritionist, and ensure that her meals were both appropriate and enjoyable. In a rehabilitation setting, nutrition plays a major role in recovery, and their attention to detail made a meaningful difference in my mother’s overall experience. We are very grateful for the professionalism, compassion, and teamwork they demonstrated. Thank you for going above and beyond.

I spent approximately 16 days at Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital South with wonderful nurses, therapy associates and nurse's aides. Karin was an awesome nurse who occasionally would stop by my room even if she wasn't my nurse for the Day just to check on me. Angie was a overnight nurse that took great care of me also. The physical therapy that I got from Mercy was awesome, I am so glad that I was able to get in into Mercy Hospital Rehabilitation. The team of Tiffany and Izzy led my physical therapy sessions along with Jessica occasionally. Occupational therapy was mostly with Jaden. All of the therapists mentioned above worked so well together on my behalf. They asked me what I needed to work on to be able to go home, I really appreciated them letting me have some input in the direction of

My mother was sent here after her 2nd knee surgery. Cannot praise it enough. Clean, good food, friendly staff, required sign in & other security measures, creative games to breakup the boring exercise routines. Think being able to physically do 3 hours of PT was only major requirement/concern.

My mother received all-around great care during her stay. Nursing, PT, OT and consultants like internal medicine and nephrology. Her nurse Karen was so kind and helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend this rehab facility!

We were advised for my dad to transition to a rehab facility before taking him home. Admittedly, I was very much on the fence, as my dad doesn’t do well in unknown places. I told myself we would give a day or two and see how it goes. It went so well that he completed the 10 day goal but I KNOW it was because of the care for him here. Everyday after we left we knew he was being cared for like my mom or me would have. They even let us bring his dog to see him (who is registered as a service dog). I can’t thank the Dr.s, nurses, techs and staff enough for making this transition for him easier. They also helped me set up his home health care team upon discharge. If we find ourselves needing this kind of care in the future, this is where we will go.
