Mercy Hospital McAuley Plaza

I’ve been coming here since I was a child. My pediatrician was Dr.Woods and now my son is a patient of his and we love him. My primary care doctor is sweet and kind but not the best with communicating. My GYN is also here and she’s lovely. She always educates me on anything I need to know and never throws me through the loop whenever I need help. I’ve given birth to my son here 2 years ago and the labor & delivery staff were AMAZING. (Besides 2 people but I didn’t deal with them for too long thank god) I would recommend anyone to come to Mercy for blood drawing, labor & delivery, primary care needs, etc. just top tier professionalism and kindness. I’m always comfortable here.

Part 1 of review I have been dealing with Mercy as they are my doctors for two different types of cancer that I’ve had in three years. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, the overall service that they had provided me contained a few errors even though they were errors that could’ve potentially harmed my life. I had a PICC line in my arm. (for those you don’t know what that is. It’s a tube that is connected to the central vein in your arm, that has two ports attached to it for inserting meds in to. The bandages for my PICC line were falling off, so I requested that they be changed. She stated I would be OK till my next appt. After insisting she do it then She said she was having issues w/ my bandages so she decided to take her gloves off to get a better grip. If anything would’ve gotte

Overall, my recent Mercy hospital surgery was a great experience. BUT!... Stay away from Bernard Chang in plastics. He is NOT compassionate despite his award. He was terrible and I decided not to use him as my surgeon after his no empathy consultation, due to his one and done mentality to my very complex history of damage. He didn't care and would not compromise. And his surgery coordinator stared me down in a bizarre confrontational manner when I asked if insurance covered all costs. She thought the best was to handle that was a nasty stare down. It was so weird. Those compassionate awards mean nothing and are under, I feel, an unethical system. But my care recently in foot and ankle was overall outstanding. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is due to Mercy Registration's unethical behavior.

Mercy Hospital is home to us for four days. The doctors, nurses and the entire staff are genuinely kind and accommodating. “Mercy and or Merciful “ which I think is the hospital’s mission is translated to its patients through gestures of love care by the entire staff. Thank you and may you be blessed a hundredfold ❤️🙏

My mom had a colonoscopy procedure done here recently. Not only were the employees who helped us find the way extremely kind but also the entire staff in the Endoscopy department. They made her feel at ease and comfortable. (Shout out especially to Ms. Rocky for putting a smile on my mom's face.) The entire hospital is also extremely clean too, which is an added bonus.
