Mercy Hospital Joplin

My son was admitted into the NICU 12 hours after being born. The staff has been so nice to us as new parents. The nurses in the NICU were so engaged with my son, Emily and Misty are some I remember. He has made a very fast recovery and I’m blessed to have brought him here.

My mother received the poorest care at the Joplin location. Once she made the decision to not proceed with treatment they would not give her quality care. We are in her final hours and she chose to go to Freeman. And Freeman from the very beginning took good care of her and made her comfortable. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to Mercy Joplin. Don't have a mammogram at Mercy unless you're an Olympic athlete or at least able-bodied and arrive an hour before your appointment! I am a senior citizen and have mobility issues and found the check-in procedure for a mammogram impossible to navigate. When I arrived via the main entrance and used valet parking, the volunteer at the information desk told me I had to go to the Cancer Center to check-in, which involved retrieving my car, getting to another parking lot, getting in and out of that building, and then returning to the mammography department - which was about 100 feet away from where I was standing! The kind volunteer at the info desk could see my frustration and offered to ask the check-in desk, that is IMMEDIATELY BESIDE the mammography department, to check me in as a favor.

I am right here in ICU right now and can tell you that this is the BEST care I've had. I have a looooong medical history. The nurses truly care. They have come to check on me on days I am not still assigned to them. Each one has been so very sweet,comforting and attentive. I wish I could remember everyone's name...but the 2 brain bleeds.....however Josh & Ashlynne.....AMAZING,CARING WONDERFUL !!! Thank you for the support and comfort in this very scary time. My doctors have been excellent..even the food is REALLY good !!

Let family talk me into visiting the ER to get checked after my airbags deployed in an auto accident. Visit was perfunctory and doctor spent less than 5 uninterested minutes with me, wrote a script for muscle relaxers, and went out the door without performing any kind of physical or neurological exam. But I accepted the state of healthcare today and went on with my day. I am now being billed separately from the ER and a random physician group for that visit. When I called to ask Mercy billing who Green Country Emergency Physicians Group was, the clerk started to tell me it was a scam bill. When I questioned how they had my personal data, he asked a supervisor and came back with that is separate physician billing. It is a clear violation of the No Surprises Act. The physician group has
