Mercy Heart and Vascular Hospital St. Louis

My mom was admitted to the 4th floor the other day. The Care she received was excellent and the Dr and staff were friendly and very helpful. Shout out to NP Phillip for helping me get her prescription on Thanksgiving day when the hospital pharmacy was closed. Otherwise she would of had to stay another day but we were able to get her meds, discharged, and home for a great Thanksgiving with family. He was quick, willing, and had a great sense of humor.

Wife went in for cardiac cath for upcoming aortic valve replacement. As always a great experience. To name some coworkers we’ll start with my wife’s nurse Patty, then there was Dawn and Drew who all were exceptional. Dr. Goldstein is great and the same can be said for Dr. Fotouhi. All the staff are top rate

My husband went to Mercy with chest and left arm pain in the morning at 9:30. ER was great. Treated him right away. Thorough testing. Every test came back perfect. Things went south though when they would only release him *against medical advice* if he didn’t stay for a stress test. Problem was: they didn’t have anyone to conduct stress test for 18 hours! (Stress tests are only run 8am - noon or 1.) As a result, 8 people needed stress tests when it reopened in the morning. They were behind as soon as they opened. I don’t know how it can bill itself as a heart hospital and have such limited hours for stress tests. Not only was it annoying to be trapped at the hospital but it surely increased the expense to be there more than 24 hours with most of the time attributable to waiting for a stres

I had Dr. Neumayr for a cardiac Catheter, great job by everyone involved, nurses and others that were there. Afterwards Dr. cam in and explained things to me and I was very impressed by all.
