Dr Matthew Goodwin was my husband, James Tom Kroeger's Spinal Surgeon. We were more than happy and satisfied with Dr Goodwin himself, and ALL of his staff. We would highly recommend him if you are needing a Spinal Surgeon.

From my first meeting, all follow up appointments, surgery & aftercare, I cannot say enough good things about Dr Goodwin! He has always explained everything very well & I feel my surgery (fusions of lumbar 1-5 & decompression) was a complete success plus he’s so pleasant & caring. I highly recommend Dr Matthew Goodwin.

I absolutely love Dr. Goodwin and his staff!! Angie became a good friend, Creta is like a big sister and the others are amazing as well! I would recommend Dr. Goodwin to any and everyone! He's very good at what he does. I had another doctor at DePaul Hospital that put me in a wheelchair for 5 months while I learned to walk again. I hate that Dr. Goodwin had to go behind that doctor and fix what he couldn't but I'm so glad he was up for the challenge! I still have issues with my back but it's because of my health conditions. I'm able to take care of my 7 year old granddaughter now and that's so very important to me! If you're thinking about calling his office, DO IT!! You'll be pleased and relieved!!

Dr. Goodwin fused my L4-L5-S1 and added cadaver bone between discs due to severe nerve pain I was having from spinal stenosis. In every meeting I had with him, he was patient and thorough - making sure all my questions were answered and I understood everything. Angela is excellent to work with also. My surgery was complex, and Dr Goodwin was amazing. I am now able to walk 3-4 miles 6 days a week. I highly recommend him, and won’t have any surgeon but him work on any future spine problems.
