Mercy Burn Center - St. Louis

Incredible teamwork!! Staff were competent and professional. I feel like I owe my life to these people. The doctors were amazing and put me back together as seamlessly as possible! I appreciate the patience of staff during the times of my own impatience with the process! My family and I were kept in the communication loop and procedures and care plans were made clear. I will be forever grateful!!

Keeping aside the care and their knowledge, the whole team lacked heavily in communication. Not a single time my concerns have been answered appropriately. I understand you will not be able to give me exact details of everything, but simple questions like on how long a procedure might take was also not answered properly. And it happened all across the board, various various times. They don't completely educate you about the procedures they are performing and next steps on what to expect. The communication is bad and it annoys you so much as there is nothing you can do. The nurses were fantastic and very helpful, the only reason we could survive there for 2 weeks. Doctors pretty much zip their mouths, come in and run out as fast as they can.

These people are incredible! They deserve more than a five star rating they took excellent care of me and I can't thank them enough. God bless you all your amazing people. Unbelievable care, great nurses and doctors and excellent food. These folks should be saints. There's not a day that I don't think about how awesome you all are can't thank you enough!

Do not, I mean DO NOT go here or take your loved ones here! The hospital and staff does not even follow their own policies or abide by patients rights. The doctors are rude and could care less just there to take your money or the governments. Really runs under Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and Residents and they dont know what they are doing all because their is no direction. The communication is horrible across the board. I should never call to ask for any update on a loved one and under hippa law never be told I can't give you any information by phone. The critical care ICU nurses are not trained, under staffed, and patient to nurse ratio is dangerous or neglecting care. True Angels care for the patients in the Burn Unit. My son, grandson, his cousin, and her father were all cared for by these Angels. I Cannot say enough Good things about the whole experience. They truly do GODS work at Mercy. Many Thanks to Mercy employees.
