Memorial Hospital

Um so they thought they were just gonna let a student practice shots on me with no clue what she was doing and the person training her literally just stood there. I had to legit stopped her because I could see she wasn’t comfortable, which in return made me uncomfortable….

I went to Carthage memorial hospital on Saturday May 3, 2025. I woke up in the morning with the entire right side of my face so swollen that I couldn't speak or open my right eye without severe pain. I had 2 abscess teeth. I have Illinois Medicaid (Molina) and was told that they do not accept Molina so, they gave me a prescription for antibiotics and a shot of toradol in my arm and sent me on my way. Not one person touched me (except the intake nurse taking my vitals). The doctor came in, stood a good 4 feet from me and declined to feel the infected jawline or let me show him the tooth. They hurried me out of the er and told me I could find a ride home and wait for the ride in the waiting room. My condition is not any better today, and seems to be getting worse, than it was when I went to

Garbage. Straight trash here. Don't bother going here. They call memorial , because you better have your memorial dug and situated before you come in

How can so many people care and not care all at the same time?! If you’re looking for subpar care, this is your place. It’s a bandaid station. The doctors are awful and some of the nurses have no idea how to do their job (I’m also a nurse so I feel qualified to make that assessment)

ER Dr. was a joke, nurses was doing their job so hats off to them but Dr acted like he could’ve cared less and when we walked out he just shrugged like who cares.
