I want to say that I'm sad I did not get the name of the women that helped me. I should have. Tonight I went to pick up and prescription for my son and we have new insurance. The prescription was going to be almost $250. That's a lot and I did not expect to pay that. It was way more than I'm used to having to budget. However, I would pay it because, well I had too. It was for my child. The nice women in the drive through check out could tell I was concerned with the price and without me having to say anything she let me know that as long as it was ok that it didn't go towards my deductible she could help me get a price I could afford. Most people just want to get you in and out and don't care whether they can help someone or not. I truly wish that I had gotten her name because she is not
I want to take a moment to recognize a pharmacist named Rachel at the Meijer Pharmacy in Plainwell. I have legitimate, long-term medical conditions that require me to take controlled medications. Over the years, I have been treated very poorly by pharmacists at multiple chain pharmacies simply for filling them. I’ve been questioned unnecessarily, subjected to delays, spoken to like a suspect, and made to feel as though I was doing something wrong, despite always filling my prescriptions according to policy. Today was a different story. I had questions about a prescription at pickup, and instead of being made to feel embarrassed or interrogated for asking, Rachel treated me with dignity, professionalism, and respect. That difference was not only noticed, it was deeply appreciated. She to
My Doctor increased my prescription with the intention I would be able to pick it up the same day. The pharmacist, Mary, refused to fill it until the next day stating insurance wouldn't allow it to be filled. I told her I'd be calling my insurance and I'd be upset if she was lying to me. My insurance stated the prescription was not even ordered yet in the system and assured me it would go through if it was. Mary refused to explain why I was lied to and told me I shouldn't need more medication yet. My Doctor, who I see twice a week, wanted me to have the prescription, and a pharmacist who doesn't know me, decided it was in my best interest to have a horrible sleepless night that took me days to recover from. We are supposed to be able to trust our pharmacists. I didn't even get an apology f
I have no choice but to call regarding my medication refill. Not only does it seem like a bother when someone does pick up… but now i’ve beem on hold waiting for someone to answer the phone for 20+ minutes. Lets see how long this takes…….
I unfortunately switched here. I have not received a full prescription on the day it was due to be filled yet. Doesn’t matter what type of medicine. They don’t have it. Then they miraculously can get it in 2 to 5 days. While I run out due to the FDA labeling everything as a “controlled substance”. Yeah. It’s a prescription. That’s controlled. Rude pharmacist blamed the FDA. They won’t let her keep a supply. Mismanagement isn’t the FDA. If I know enough that my prescription is due every 28 days or 90 days. Shouldn’t they be able to forecast. I don’t know maybe using a computer. !!! Switching again
