Meijer Pharmacy

I agree that the pharmacy should have better hours but that's on mejier, not the pharmacy staff. I will continue to go here because the service I receive is unparalleled to any other pharmacy in town. The Kokomo team is super helpful and they actually seem to care about their customers. I didn't realize how much customer service makes a difference until I came to this pharmacy.. I hope mejier treats them well cuz they're the reason I go there

It is UTTERLY RIDICULOUS THAT A LARGE PHARMACY SUCH AS MEIJER CLOSES AT 6PM!!! HAD TO GO TO URGENT CARE AT 5, THEY CALLED IN ANTIBIOTIC OINTMENT,ORAL ANTIBIOTICS TO BE TAKEN A.S A.P.! I had forgotten about their ridiculous hours of operation,the clinic called in my meds,and,of course, I have to wait till Sunday. I'm sure I won't die, HOWEVER,this will never happen to me again if I have to get my meds out of town!True,every pharmacy in Kokomo has SOMETHING to be complained about but,what happened to good old fashioned CUSTOMER SERVICE?

First they do a good job of getting the prescriptions right and working with insurance. However if you need your prescription quickly forget about it. It's usually a 2 hour wait if you need it today and they don't like to fill it while you wait. I also understand that working in a pharmacy can be very frustrating but they treat every customer as if they are a bad customer. They also don't notify you if they are out of a medicine before you come to pick it up. For those of us who live a good distance away, it's very frustrating. I am forced to get my prescription here because my local pharmacy doesn't accept my insurance. I don't like leaving bad reviews and I'm not singling out any individual employee. Several times now I go to the pharmacy to get my medicine only to find out the pharmacy people didn't "feel like" filling scripts that day, so I have to come back two or three days later for something that is in stock but the lazy pharmacy staff would rather stand around talking about their television shows or how hungover they are than do their jobs. It must be nice to get paid to do absolutely nothing but be rude to patients needing to pick up their scripts and stand around staring at your phone because you're too drunk or hungover to work. Several times the pharmacist had yelled at me for not calling her "doctor." She was also clearly intoxicated and even after speaking with management nothing was done. I'm not sure why being drunk at work seems to be so tolerated here.

Out of all the pharmacies I've dealt with I will always prefer Meijer. They work with me, help teach me things about refills, my son's prescriptions and have no problem answering any questions I have no matter how dumb they can be. When my son's glucagon prescription couldn't be filled because they didn't have it and didn't know when they would ever get it they let me know what to do to get it transferred elsewhere so we wouldn't be without. I have yet to have dealt with anyone rude or discourteous.
