MedStar Health: Urgent Care at Waugh Chapel

Wonderful care! Promptly received & briefly assessed. Updated on how long the wait would be. Practitioner was very thorough, clear, helpful, addressed pain issues and gave excellent instructions for follow up. Assistant came and helped with fitting support boot and explained care. Very helpful appointment!

A two plus hour wait, AFTER you pre-scheduled an arrival time, for an 80-yr-old with heart issues is unacceptable. You cannot operate an urgent care in the middle of flu season with one practitioner. Do not go to the Waugh Chapel location. Highly recommend Patient First in Odenton instead.

Two stars because Joseph the X-ray technician and the MA who did the glucose finger stick were excellent. Just pray that you're not seen by Jennifer Leigh who's a physician assistant but acts like a surgeon general. Her medical knowledge was very shallow and she was rude and disrespectful to the patient. She prescribed the wrong medication and did not appreciate being corrected when it was brought to her attention. She stormed out of the room and claimed she was busy with other patients. Overall very unprofessional.

I wasn't really impressed with this establishment, the front office clerk wasn't even there when I arrived the place was empty which I was thought a good sign but I ended up waiting over 45 mins for the doctor to see me . I went in for my sinus infection and the doctor said I didn't even need antibiotics which is a bummer because I think I did idk I always have bad experiences with urgent cares and this one was just added to my list of shitty experiences. There is no urgency anymore to get clients in and out of the place some might have worst illness and don't want to be waiting over 30 mins . It's the wait time for me . Do better ,!

Excellent care delivered with friendliness. They were professional and knowledgeable and all I met had extremely good skills interacting with others. I'll make a note to return should I need urgent care another time.
