MedStar Health: Urgent Care at Bethesda

i had a really good experience here, the nurses were all so kind and professional. they were efficient and knowledgeable. NP Azin was really great, she definitely made me comfortable and handled my injury very quickly and with good energy and humor too. Everyone was great!

An "appointment" at this location is not an appointment, it is just a way to fill out the forms in advance. On a weekday afternoon, I showed up on time, and the clinic did not seem to be busy. I waited for half an hour to have my temperature taken and to be shown to an exam room, and waited another hour and a half in the room. I had to leave the room and walk out to the receptionist to ask for updates, otherwise they would have just left me there for multiple hours. According to the receptionist, it took two hours for me to get from fourth to second in line. No one was able to tell me when I would be seen, and eventually I had to leave. The nurse who took my temperature was nice, and the facility was clean. Otherwise, it was a very poor experience that I do not recommend.

MEDSTAR Urgent Care Bethesda Convenient location. Efficient intake. Friendly staff at front desk were welcoming, responded to all my questions and kept me informed. Lobby was clean and orderly with lots of seating. Masks and waters provided for customers. Everything moved smoothly from intake to vitals to treatment. The physician was professional, not rushed, made eye contact and was warm and friendly. He cleaned and stitched up my wound and my Rx was waiting for me at my pharmacy.

I’ve had a number of experiences with urgent care facilities in the past and dreaded having to go to another here in Bethesda. But I walked into the Medstar Urgent Care just off of Wisconsin Ave in Bethesda and was pleasantly shocked at the high design quality of the waiting area and the overall space and its cleanliness, the quick efficiency of the reception staff, the ease and quick turn-around of the walk-in application process, and the very short wait time. It seemed like only 10 minutes after walking in, I was in an exam room being seen by a doctor who examined me and wrote up my prescription within minutes and I was out the door. I love their check-in system. Their admin staff was on top of their game. The wait was a little bit longer than expected, but worth it compared to other Urgent Care cares because When it was my son’s turn, I felt like the doctor was very thorough.
