I had a biopsy under anesthesia performed in the Imaging Department of Franklin Square Medstar Hospital last week. I've had over a dozen surgeries but I must say that I have never been treated so well by medical staff as I was treated by the Medstar medical team. Everyone was extremely kind, patient and empathetic toward me. The nurse and the technician treated me so well, putting me at ease and made me laugh which eased my anxiety. All of the other team members seem to have been as nice, smiling at me as I was pushed into the operating room on the gurney. The anesthesiologist and radiologist had warm and sensitive manners as did the surgical nurse. While recovering after the procedure, I was treated as if I were their only patient, at least that's how they made me feel. They gave me snack

I have gotten multiples emails to leave a Google review. It was obnoxious. I have had mostly good interactions at Medstar so far. I would say about 80% of the time things are positive. I took off a star because there’s a handful of things (mostly communication related) that have been issues. Communication between appointments is a struggle. You can’t call directly (the call center experience is very inconsistent) and it’s very difficult to find people within their messaging system even if you spell the person’s name correctly. There are also discrepancies between written communication and verbal communication. For example, I had a canceled appointment. There was no written notification the appointment was canceled due to snow and I didn’t receive a call at my secondary phone number. So

I was taken to the hospital by ambulance from my doctors office for a high heart rate at about 10:30 in the morning. When I got there I waited for about 30 minutes and they did an ekg, blood work and X-ray. Then but me in the waiting room at 11:30 to 12pm. No one ever came back to me check my heart rate, pressure or anything. All the kept saying is the hospital is full and we are trying to get someone to read your results. I left the hospital at 4:40. This is absolutely the worst service ever how do you have someone sitting in your hospital that has a high heart rate and you’re never come and take the rate a heart rate or blood pressure or anything for five hours. Please do not charge my insurance. I don’t want to be bothered with Franklin Square ever again. I have been there before back i

Everyone was amazing! My husband and I are pregnant through IVF with our first baby. The MFM team made our experience great! Devin, the genetics counselor, really cared about everything we discussed. She took her time and we did not feel rushed at all. She used visual aids to help us understand everything being tested via blood work. She was amazing. Loved her! She is so knowledgeable. Additionally, we LOVED our ultrasound sonographers, Kate and Casey. They were so sweet. Kate was thorough and knowledgeable on everything she was scanning. I made my next ultrasound appointment with Kate because I felt an instant connection. She has the best personality and seemed to truly care about us. Dr. Kimberly Hickey was awesome! She was professional and kind. I appreciate all of her medical advic

For the sleep study center: The tech was beyond nice and great with my 4 year old son. However, there are ZERO working TVs because all the remotes were stolen so dont be fooled by that. It says the rooms are kept pretty cold but theyre not. They say they see pediatric patients 1st but my son didn't even get to sleep until 10pm. They say woken up around 5:30, he was woken up at 5. Says each room has an individual bathroom, that's not true. Parking is very confusing. Personally felt like majority of information in the packet was not accurate. The staff were extremely nice and room was clean but definitely would not go back there.
