Medical City Arlington Emergency Room

Great experience February 13th, during my 50th birthday celebration, my husband rushed me to the ER because I was having difficulty breathing. We arrived around 11:30 p.m. and stayed until 4:00 a.m., but I was not taken to a room until almost 4:45 a.m. The night-shift nurse, Devine, and the female nurse who worked with him were both phenomenal. THEY WERE SUPER NICE They welcomed me to their floor and even sang “Happy Birthday” to me since it had officially become my 50th birthday on February 14th. Before they left, they made sure I had everything I needed. They were very caring nurses. The nurse who took over afterward, Charity, was also very kind and caring Thank you. Good Evening. I actually had an excellent experience (considering i was AT THE HOSPITAL) but everyone was SUPER NICE! I knew i was going to be waiting so I went prepared with headphones, my phone, water, two jackets, and a book. No sooner had i sat down, the desk nurse rushed over with a fresh out of the dryer blanket! I was SO GRATEFUL!!! I was probably in the waiting room 45 minutes, got seen, then back out for another 20, then to a room where I was able to get comfortable for another 2.5 hours. But it didn't seem long. Soup to nuts i was probably there just over four hours? But everything was really efficient and everyone was pleasant. I don't know, maybe because it was the middle of the night and im a night person anyway I tend to roll with things better at that time! Good job, Medical City! Hopeful

My husband came in to the ER with severe pain in his lower abdomen. The wait time to be called back was too long. When someone is in pain and finally decides to go to the ER- you want to be seen quickly. It was over an hour before he was called back. Once called back- everything moved quickly- several tests- one right after another- everyone knowing exactly what to do, working together, one after the other. Eventually, he was taken to a little room with a bed- still in the ER- where he fell asleep. The time in that room was fairly long. It would have been nice to have had an update on what was happening. A doctor finally came in and explained what the problem was. She said he'd be admitted.

Came in the ER and was hesitant on receiving good care but the team was great - check in was smooth, nurse taking vitals was kind and pleasant. They had trouble getting my blood but all the nurses and paramedics I encountered that tried to help were very kind and professional. Admin staff was also kind, as well as the x-ray tech and paramedic who was able to find a vein and draw my blood. Dr. Teel in the ER was very kind and patient, pleasant bedside manner and explained everything very well. He listened to my concerns and helped understand tests and imaging. The staff, doctors, paramedics, and practitioners were very kind and accommodating - Jose, Dr. Teel, Aubrey, Brittany, Olivia, to name a few of the staff. Thank you! :)

I was extremely pleased with all the doctors and nurses. They were all competent and compassionate. The food was excellent. I worked at an HCA hospital years ago and I'm glad to see the high level of quality is still there.
