MEDcare Urgent Care - West Ashley Avondale

Walk-in was handled fairly quickly and efficiently. There were no other patients waiting so that helped. Physicians Assistant did the exam and wrote prescriptions. Bedside manner could have been a bit more friendly but not a big issue. Used Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Out-of-pocket cost was very reasonable. Would recommend this location. Easy access and well located on West Ashley near Whole Foods.

This was my first time here and I have only positive things to say. Nurses and doctor are extremely compassionate, nice and knowledgeable. I am so grateful they took care of my daughter and now 2 days later she is back on her feet! Wait times are not bad and price is very reasonable. Thank you!

Dr. Ashton De Cataldo was very thorough and her bedside manner was impeccable! She made my daughter feel heard and comfortable with her thoughts about her symptoms. Our scribe Herbert Jackson was on point with his note taking and accuracy and his bedside manner was phenomenal also! Our interaction with the young lady at the front desk was pleasant and knowledgeable! Davon Gordon who took my daughters vitals was efficient and kind!!

Very short wait time and helpful receptionist got me checked quickly. I felt really awful but the staff here had my diagnosis fast and I was able to pick up my prescription at my pharmacy minutes after leaving. Now I’m on the road to recovery and thankful I decided to go in and get checked out instead of trying to diagnose/treat myself!

Huge shout out to P.A. Ryan, the receptionist and the Medical Assistant. They are absolutely the right people we need in health care. They were kind, had excellent bedside manners and went above and beyond for my treatment. Next time I am sick, I will be back here for sure. Also veterans they take our VA insurance.
