Medac Urgent Care - Monkey Junction

I was greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable receptionist and the wait was not long. The phone entry for registration was OK except the photos for picture ID and insurance were not working correctly, so the receptionist helped me. My nurse and doctor were also very friendly and knowledgeable. The whole process took about one hour in the middle of a Friday afternoon, off-season. I would go back again!

I want to take a moment to recognize Catrina, the nurse and x-ray tech who has over 15 years of experience. I recently got injured at work, and from the moment she began helping me, she showed a level of professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care that is rare to find in healthcare. Catrina was patient, clear in her communication, and made sure I understood every step of the process. She treated me with respect, compassion, and kindness at a time when I was in pain and extremely stressed. What truly set her apart was not just her medical expertise but the way she made me feel safe, heard, and taken care of. Her dedication and bedside manner are exceptional. In all my years of interacting with medical professionals, I have never met someone as gifted, steady, and compassionate as Catrina.

Having gone here before and was a good experience, then coming back a second time and it was even better! Very kind and gracious administrative staff, payment amount was clear, wait time was not long, and had a very quick assessment that went amazing! Nurse and doctor were very understanding, patient, and were able to figure out what was going on without any hassle! I do recommend booking an appointment online ahead of time so you can get in asap. Otherwise, highly recommend going to this urgent care if you are looking for a friendly staff that cares! Will be going back here for sure whenever I need to! I love that you can reserve your spot before you get there. Everyone in the waiting room was there because of the flu and it was nice not to have to wait too long in there with people much sicker and more contagious. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Disclaimer: I’m sure the people who work here are kind, knowledgeable, and efficient but that was not my experience. I arrived right when they opened. I was the second person in the waiting room, third on the “wait list”. I proceed to wait more than TWO HOURS as people who arrived much after me got taken back to the doctor. When I asked about an hour and half into waiting when I would be seen, the receptionist told me I would be seen “soon”. When I did go back to be seen, the nurse had no bedside manner (I understand she could be having a bad day). She didn’t ask me a single question besides my stats, and she didn’t even say hi. She swabbed me like it was personal… Doctor was fine, but no medication was prescribed. I felt like it was a huge waste of time, and I would have rather waited for
